The Sacred Conch Ritual
- The Sangku (conch shell) arose from the churning of the cosmic ocean — one of the divine instruments of Mahavishnu himself, representing purity and transcendence.
- When holy water is poured through the conch with Vedic mantras, the Agamas teach that divine energy (Shakti) fills the water, making it supremely blessed tirtha.
- The Sangkavasakam forms a central part of the Uchikala Puja (midday worship) and all special ceremonial occasions in the temple.
- This ritual invites the divine presence (Avahana) directly into the sacred water, purifying all who receive it with devotion.
கோயிலில் சங்காவசகம்
- சங்கு என்பது சமுத்திர மத்தனத்தில் தோன்றிய திவ்ய பொருள் — மகாவிஷ்ணுவின் ஆயுதங்களில் ஒன்று. இது மிகவும் புனிதமான அடையாளம்.
- சங்கத்தில் நீர் நிரப்பி, மந்திரங்களுடன் அபிஷேகம் செய்வதால் அந்த நீரில் தெய்வீக சக்தி நிரம்புகிறது என்று ஆகமங்கள் கூறுகின்றன.
